Brighton Join Southampton, German Clubs In Race To Sign Arsenal's Nigeria-Eligible Striker

Brighton & Hove are the latest English Premier League club linked with a summer move for exciting Nigeria-eligible striker Folarin Balogun, according to reports.

The Beautiful Game Podcast says the American-born England youth international is drawing strong interest from multiple Premier League clubs including the Seagulls and Southampton.

Balogun is also attracting interest from German Bundesliga clubs VfB Stuttgart, Werder Bremen and Eintracht Frankfurt.

The 19-year-old has entered the final year of his contract with Arsenal and his lack of minutes for the first team has cast doubts over his future at the Emirates Stadium, and moreso he has refused to sign a new deal.

Arsenal are holding out for a transfer fee of eight million pounds for the Hale End Academy product which most European clubs including those in England might be reluctant to pay considering that he has yet to make his first team debut.

Last season, Balogun was Arsenal's top scorer in the Premier League 2 with ten goals to his name from fifteen appearances, and made the bench when the first team faced Nottingham Forest in the third round of the League Cup.
