Former Chelsea Defender Aina Drawing Interest From West Ham, Everton
Published: April 10, 2020Nigeria international Ola Aina is attracting interest from the English Premier League, with West Ham and Everton credited with an interest, according to reports.
Celebrated Italian sports daily La Gazzetta dello Sport says the Hammers and Toffees have made enquiries over the acquisition of the Chelsea Academy product who is valued at 18 million euros.
Aina has the ability to play in several positions including right back, left back, right wing-back and left wing-back, and can also be utilised as a central defender if the need arises.
The former England U19 skipper impressed in his first season in Italy, leading to Torino activating the option to make his loan move from Chelsea permanent last summer, but has experienced ups and downs this campaign.
The Italian newspaper has suggested that Aina is open to returning to the Premier League because he's feeling homesick in Italy.
Aina shares the same agent as Everton's Alex Iwobi, ex-Toffees starlet Ademola Lookman and Malcolm Ebiowei, who trained with West Ham before signing for Glasgow Rangers in February.
