Four Nigerian stars have made a prestigious list containing 62 players who have made twenty or more international appearances for their country while still a Chelsea player.
Frank Lampard with 104 international caps played the most games, followed by Petr Cech (91), Branislav Ivanovic (83), John Terry (78), Marcel Desailly (74), Didier Drogba (74) and Eden Hazard (74).
The highest ranked Nigerian player on the list is John Mikel Obi, with the attacking midfielder amassing 73 caps during his ten-and-a-half-year stint at Stamford Bridge.
Kenneth Omeruo, who has not featured for the Super Eagles since the conclusion of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, earned all of his caps, fifty-two in total, while playing for Chelsea.
Victor Moses accumulated 34 caps for Nigeria before calling time on his international career while Celestine Babayaro appeared in 21 games as a Chelsea player.
With the exception of Babayaro, the aforementioned Nigerian players all played important roles for the Super Eagles as they won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
All four represented Nigeria at the World Cup while they were Chelsea players.
