Former Glasgow Rangers striker Umar Sadiq has urged everyone to stay at home in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
Having spent time with Roma before sealing a permanent transfer to Partizan Belgrade, Sadiq is aware of what is happening in Italy, the country worst hit by the virus with the death toll exceeding five thousand.
The Rio Olympics bronze medalist has revealed that he has received messages from his family back in Italy that people are dying everyday.
"My family is in Italy and they are safe, for the past two weeks they have been at home because it is not an easy situation," Sadiq said to Partizan Belgrade's official Instagram account.
"Things are getting worse all over the world, it is time to stick together and listen to stay at home.
"This is a message for the Serbian people : please let's stick together and stay at home because every day I get messages from Italy this one is dead.
