Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has suggested that Lille's rising star Victor Osimhen can play as a winger for the national team.
The 2015 U17 World Cup Golden Boot winner has been untouchable in the center forward role since joining Lille in August 2019 but operated as a left and right winger in some matches during his days with Wolfsburg and Sporting Charleroi.
Like most Nigerian offensive players, Osimhen's major attributes are his pace and physicality that allows him go past opposing defenders.
In Rohr's ideal starting line-up, Torino's Ola Aina and Paderborn's Jamilu Collins are on the right and left side of defence, with Samuel Chukwueze and Samuel Kalu playing as inverted wingers.
In a recent interview with French daily Sud Ouest, Rohr explained : "But I play with real wingers, Samuel, Simon or Chukwueze. Victor Oshimen can play as well as a winger.
"It's an interesting organization to combine with the left or right back on the wings, center."

Osimhen has been involved in six goals (4 goals, 2 assists) in his last four games for the Super Eagles playing as a number nine.
