Three Nigeria-eligible players have been named in the Team of the Week for their respective leagues by football statistics website Whoscored.com.
Super Eagles central defender Kenneth Omeruo made the ceremonial best eleven players in the Spanish top-flight after opening his account for Leagnes in a 2-1 win against Real Sociedad.
In a 4-4-2 formation, the former Chelsea defender was partnered in central defence by Real Valladolid's Mohammed Salisu.
Omeruo had a team-high three interceptions against Real Sociedad, made one tackle and had a passing accuracy of 80 percent.
In the German Bundesliga, Hertha Berlin's Jordan Torunarigha was handed a spot in the Team of the Week after starring in his side's goalless draw against Schalke 04.
Filling in at center back, he disrupted the opponents attack with four clearances, two interceptions, two blocked shots and one tackle.
Former Denmark U21 international Philip Billing was included in the Premier League Team of the Week following his outstanding performance against Aston Villa in which he scored his first goal in a Bournemouth shirt.
The central midfielder won a game-high eight aerial duels vs Aston Villa, won two fouls, made two key passes, and had game-high figures in clearances (9) and tackles (7).
