At least one Nigeria international will be included in Bordeaux's matchday eighteen when they take on Lyon in their first Ligue 1 match of 2020 on Saturday, January 11.
Samuel Kalu and Josh Maja are among the six players classed as strikers in Bordeaux's 19-man provisional roster announced on Friday and one outfield player will be dropped by manager Paulo Sousa before kickoff.
According to the official website of Bordeaux, at least seventeen European clubs have sent their representatives to watch the game which will hold at the Stade Matmut-Atlantique (Bordeaux).
Manchester United, Manchester City, Newcastle United and West Ham United talent spotters will be in attendance, while Barcelona, Valencia, Sevilla, Real Sociedad, SD Eibar, Athletico Madrid and Getafe are the Spanish clubs that have indicated their interest in watching the game week 20 fixture.
Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Juventus, AC Milan and AS Roma scouts will also observe the game, while OGC Nice spies will be in attendance to do some opposition scouting before they face Bordeaux in the French top-flight on February 29.
Maja has been linked with a return to England in the January transfer window, with Burnley, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Everton and Chelsea credited with an interest.
Everything is pointing to the fact that the former Sunderland starlet will show off to the scouts in attendance as he has been involved in all but one of the last eleven matches played by Bordeaux in all competitions, missing the trip to Rennes on December 21 only because of injury.
