David Okereke was delighted to come off the bench to inspire Club Brugge to a 4-0 rout of Zulte Waregem in a Belgian First Division A clash on Thursday, December 26.
The former Nigeria U23 international was on seven league goals prior to yesterday's encounter, with the last coming against KV Kortrijk on November 2, and took his tally to nine for the season with a three-minute brace.
Okereke's second goal was eye-catching as he dummied a Zulte Waregem defender before unleashing a shot into the top corner.
Speaking to reporters post-match, the Club Brugge number 14 revealed the coaching inspiration behind his brilliant strike.
"It's just one of those days where you have to come in and do what the coach asks you to do and try to help the team so I guess I did it today,'' Okereke explained.
"The coach always say we put in the corners so when I was there I just had only one thing on my mind, the corners."

from 20 games, travel to Anderlecht in their first league game of 2020
on Sunday, January 19.
