German Bundesliga and Spanish La Liga clubs are exploring ways to sign Nigeria international Samuel Kalu ahead of the reopening of the transfer window, according to reports.
Eurosport journalist Manu Lonjon has informed that Bordeaux want to offload wingers Samuel Kalu and François Kamano in the winter transfer market, and the Nigerian is attracting interest from Real Betis and Hertha Berlin.
Kalu has lost his starting spot this term, starting four of the last 11 matches played by Bordeaux in the Ligue 1.
The Golden Boot Soccer Academy product joined Les Girondins in the summer of 2018 from KAA Gent in Belgium for a transfer fee of 8.5 million euros.
Since his move to France, he has played 50 games across all competitions, scoring 5 goals and setting up six others.
Kalu made his Nigeria debut in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles in September 2018 and gained his 12th cap as the Super Eagles thrashed Lesotho 4-2 last month.
The former AS Trencin man has a contract with Bordeaux until the end of the 2022-2023 season.
