Everton have finally confirmed through their official website the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti as the club's new manager on a four-and-a-half-year-deal.
The former Chelsea, Real Madrid and AC Milan manager will be in the stands when Everton face Arsenal in a Premier League match at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon.
Ancelotti will monitor Alex Iwobi at close quarters as the Nigeria international has been named in the starting line-up against his old club he left in the summer transfer window.
The three-time Champions League winner as coach will meet the Super Eagles star and other first-teamers from Sunday, December 22.
The 60-year-old Italian football tactician will be in the dugout for the first time as Everton boss when they take on Burnley on Boxing Day, Thursday, December 26.
Marco Silva, who played a key role in Iwobi's move to the Toffees, was dismissed on December 5 following a poor start to the 2019-2020 season.
Meanwhile, Arsenal's Nigerian winger Bukayo Saka starts a Premier League game for the first time in exactly two months in today's clash.
