Claus Steinlein, CEO of FC Midtjylland, is unmoved by the one-week deadline issued by Racing Genk to sell Nigeria international Paul Onuachu, saying it is a negotiation technique.
Several clubs are interested in the striker but the Belgian champions have not concealed the fact that they are desperate to sign him and they want an answer from FC Midtjylland within a week.
''It is, after all, negotiation technique - just like anything else. Several clubs have bid for Paul,'' said Steinlein to Herning Folkeblad .
''Genk is just the club that is reporting offensively in the media right now. That's fine with us.
''Genk has been interested in Paul for a year and they have long said that 'now there is only one week left.''
Onuachu has yet to play an official match for Midtjylland since the start of the season, missing six matches in total.
The 25-year-old was not in FCM's traveling party to Glasgow for their Europa League third qualifying round match against Rangers on Thursday.
