Through a statement on their official website, Portuguese Primeira Liga side Vitória de Guimaraes have announced that they have reached an agreement with Porto for the transfer of Mikel Agu.
The Super Eagles midfielder has penned a three-year deal that will keep him at Vitória de Guimaraes until the summer of 2022, with the Victorian club holding 50% of his economic rights.
The contract signed by the Nigerian also includes a termination clause of 10 million euros.
Mikel has already started training with his new employer under the guidance of manager Ivo Vieira.
The 26-year-old officially joined Porto in 2011 and made two appearances for their first team but was a key player for the B team who play in the second tier of Portuguese football.
He was loaned out to Club Brugge, Vitória de Setúbal and Bursaspor due to his lack of first-team opportunities.
A product of BJ Foundation Benin City, Mikel was named in Nigeria's provisional squad for the 2018 World Cup.
