Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Ayodeji Sotona has been offered a new contract by Manchester United ahead of the 2019-2020 campaign.
The Irish-born winger of Nigerian parentage is set to be fully promoted to the U18 team of the Red Devils next season after he was offered a two-year deal to extend his stay at the club.
It is confirmed that Sotona has expressed his desire to remain at Manchester United and will be a first-year scholar next season.
The 16-year-old was impressive for United's U16 team last season and was rewarded with a debut appearance for the U18s in their 3-1 win at Newcastle United in the U18 Premier League back in March.
Sotona has been capped by Republic of Ireland at U15 and U16 level.
Meanwhile, United are set to announce Ajax Amsterdam's Nigeria-eligible striker Dillon Hoogewerf as one of their new scholars for next season while Shola Shoretire becomes eligible for a scholarship next year.
