Official : Ex-Arsenal Goalkeeper Idem Negotiating New Deal With Macclesfield Town
Published: May 20, 2019Goalkeeper Emmanuel Idem is negotiating a new deal with Macclesfield Town, the League Two club have reported through their official website.
The 20-year-old is among six players out of contract and are in talks with the Silkmen over a new deal ahead of the start of pre-season training.
Born in London, Idem joined Macclesfield Town in December 2018 following his release by Aston Villa last summer.
Although he did not make his competitive debut for Macclesfield Town, the highly-rated young goalkeeper was included in the match day eighteen in 22 consecutive matches in the league.
Prior to Edem's move to Macclesfield Town, he previously had spells at Arsenal and Stoke City.
The young Nigerian became the first player signed by Arsenal legend Sol
Campbell after he was appointed coach in November 2018.
