The United States Soccer Federation have handed a call-up to Vancouver Whitecaps starlet Chituru Odunze.
Born in London, United Kingdom in 2002, the promising goalkeeper is also eligible to represent Canada, England and Nigeria at international level.
The three-time African champions are lagging behind their rivals in the race for his services as he previously trained with Canada U15s at an identification camp.
Odunze has been invited to train with the United States U17s at their get-together in Lakewood Ranch, Florida from January 4-13, 2019.
If he impresses at the training camp, he stands a good chance of making the roster for the 2019 CONCACAF U-17 Championship.
The 6-foot-6 goalkeeper represented the academy teams of Chelsea, West Ham United and Cardiff City before moving to Calgary, Alberta, according to the official website of Vancouver Whitecaps.
Manchester United defender Matthew Olosunde played for the Americans at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile and started against Nigeria in the group stage of the competition.
