Nigerian Midfielder Continues Amazing Scoring Run With 8th Successive Goal For Chelsea; Aina Wins Penalty
Published: November 10, 2018Nigerian wonderkid Faustino Anjorin continued his amazing scoring run for Chelsea youth team after finding the net for their U18s in a 3-0 win against Newcastle United in an U18 Premier League Cup fixture held at Newcastle United Football Academy on Saturday afternoon.
It took the England U18 international only eight minutes to break the deadlock when he volleyed in from just inside the box.
In doing so, Anjorin netted in his eighth successive game for the Young Blues in all competitions, including the U18 Premier League, U18 Premier League Cup, UEFA Youth League, Premier League 2 and EFL Trophy.
The 16-year-old scored against seven different clubs : Swansea City, Brighton (2), West Ham, Molde, Plymouth Argyle, Arsenal and Newcastle United.
Five minutes before half-time, it was 2-0 to the visitors with Jon Russell firing home from 12 yards out after Jordan Aina had won a penalty, before Jack Wakely scored to close the scoring in the 77th minute.
Chelsea U18s are next in Premier League Cup action away at Manchester United on December 8.
