'It Was Obviously A Studs-Up Tackle' - Ndidi Hails Referee For Sending Off West Ham Captain

Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has praised referee Michael Oliver for showing a red card to West Ham captain Mark Noble in the first half of their 1-1 draw with the Hammers at King Power Stadium on Saturday evening.

Noble was dismissed in the 38th minute after catching the Nigeria international with his studs up as he was trying to win the ball.

Speaking to BT Sport after the game, Ndidi said : ''It was obviously a studs-up tackle because he put the studs on my ankle. I think it was a good decision from the referee.''

The Foxes number 25 admitted that they were under pressure in the second half as they searched for a goal to level the game.

''I agree with Marc because it was really, really difficult in the first half although we had more chances.

''The second half was a lot okay but because they were one man down, it was difficult for us because we were under pressure at 1-0 down. I didn't think it would come for us,'' Ndidi added.

Ndidi helped Leicester City preserve their record as one of the two teams in the Premier League to have scored in every game this season, along with Tottenham Hotspur.
