Moses Set For 15th Appearance In Europe As Chelsea Boss Indicates He Could Make Up To Seven Changes
Published: October 04, 2018Former Nigeria international Victor Moses is poised to make his fifteenth appearance in European club competitions when Chelsea take on Hungarian side Vidi at Stamford Bridge on Thursday evening.
Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has indicated that he could make up to seven changes to the starting line-up that drew 1-1 with Liverpool in the Premier League last Saturday, meaning the probability of Moses getting some minutes is quite high.
Moses has been the understudy to Pedro RodrÃguez this season and with the Spaniard spotted training with the team on Wednesday, it remains to be seen if the Nigerian will make the starting XI.
''I have to speak to Pedro who is doing better like Loftus-Cheek and so I think that tomorrow every player is available. I have to change, 5, 6, 7 players. I don't know at the moment,'' Sarri told reporters at Wednesday's press conference.
''I want to see training in the afternoon and to see the last training tomorrow morning."
Moses has made eight appearances in the UEFA Champions League and six in the Europa League, he was a non-playing substitute against PAOK on game week one.
