Chelsea Announce Jersey Numbers Two Nigerian Strikers Will Wear For 2018-2019 Campaign
Published: August 10, 2018Chelsea have confirmed their squad numbers for the 2018-2019 season and two offensive-minded Nigerian players have been named on the first team roster.
They are Super Eagles star Victor Moses and England U21 international Tammy Abraham, and they will wear the number 15 and 19 kits respectively.
Another Nigeria international Kenneth Omeruo has not been given a squad number and this confirms he will be loaned out to a foreign club or Championship team before the close of the summer transfer window.
Moses will go into Chelsea squad as a homegrown player as he was registered with Crystal Palace and Wigan Athletic for three entire seasons before he turned 21.
Abraham will not take up a spot on the Blues 25-man Premier League roster because he is classed as an U21 player.
