(Photo Confirmation) Kenneth Omeruo Reports For Pre-Season Training At Chelsea
Published: July 19, 2018Nigeria national-teamer Kenneth Omeruo has finally reported for pre-season training at his parent club Chelsea ahead of the new season.
The central defender and compatriot Victor Moses have been omitted from Chelsea's tour squad which departed to Australia on Wednesday night due to their late arrival at Cobham Training Center.
Former Chelsea managers Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte, and ex-technical director Michael Emenalo did not consider Omeruo for the first team since he joined the club from Sunshine Stars in January 2012.
Thus, he has been farmed out on loan to ADO Den Haag, Middlesbrough, Kasımpaşa and Alanyaspor despite being issued a British work permit.
Writing on Instagram, Omeruo said : ''First day Inn.. work-mode #omeruo #cfc #cobham''.
Omeruo will do some fitness tests and will be hoping to join the first team when they return to London next week.
The 24-year-old started Nigeria's World Cup matches against Iceland and Argentina and was particularly impressive against the Nordic country.
