Former Nigeria U20 international Chidiebere Nwakali is looking to end his collaboration with Manchester City before the close of the summer transfer window, allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report.
It was a foregone conclusion that the defensive midfielder would embark on another loan spell this summer, for the simple reason that he has not been issued a work permit and cannot play in the English Premier League.
Chidiebere has issued an ultimatum to Manchester City that he should be sold outright to one of the clubs interested in his signature if the Etihad outfit cannot process his work permit, which is a tall order given that he has no caps for the Nigeria National Team and was not named in the country's World Cup roster.
''Chidi still has one year remaining on his contract with Manchester City, '' a top source told allnigeriasoccer.com.
''But he is insisting to leave as he doesn't want to embark on another loan.''
Nwakali, 21, previously spent time on loan at Málaga B, Girona, IK Start, Sogndal and Aberdeen.
He officially joined Manchester City in January 2015, along with his ex-Golden Eaglets teammate Kelechi Iheanacho, after starring at the 2013 Fifa U17 World Cup.
