Ex-World Cup Star Justice Christopher : Judge Eagles Team On Its Strengths Not Weaknesses
Published: June 21, 2018Former Super Eagles Midfielder Justice Christopher has told allnigeriasoccer.com in Jos, Plateau State in Nigeria that the Super Eagles have a good chance of progressing to the round of 16 of the World Cup finals in Russia.
Justice said the major ingredient to propel a team to glory is motivation and the current crop of players have been heavily motivated by the Nigeria Football Federation and that alone is enough to propel the team to glory.
He also advised Nigerians to support the team ahead of their next game against Iceland on Friday citing lot of positives in the team, saying Nigeria should judge the team on its strength and not its weaknesses.
Justice Christopher was an integral member of the Super Eagles squad to the 2002 FIFA World Cup in South Korea and Japan where Nigeria had faced a similar situation as the current team, losing her first game then to Argentina before going on to lose again to Sweden and pulling a draw with England before being eliminated.
He also had earlier captained Nigeria Under-20 National team, the Flying Eagles, at the 2001 Africa Youth Championship in Addis-Ababa Ethiopia.
