Iceland Defender Identifies Super Eagles Achilles Heel : We'll Take Advantage
Published: June 19, 2018Víkingur central defender Kári árnason has warned that Iceland will capitalize on the Super Eagles set-piece weakness when both countries face off in their second Group D match at the 2018 World Cup on Friday, June 22.
The Super Eagles have a problem defending set-pieces and they lost against England, Czech Republic and Croatia in their last three games as a result of four goals in total conceded from set play.
The Icelandic National Team are the tallest team at the World Cup, with an average height of 1.85 meters, and could be dangerous during aerial battles, free-kicks and corner kicks.
''I do not doubt they try to make it clear after conceding two goals against Croatia," árnason was quoted as saying by Fotbolti.
"I doubt it will be open, but nonetheless, we are good at set plays and should take advantage of them.''
