Chelsea Complete Deal To Sign Tottenham Hotspur Target
Published: March 26, 2018Premier League champions Chelsea have won the race for Crewe Alexandra striker George Nunn, who had been on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur.
The BBC has confirmed that Nunn has signed for The Blues and the League Two club will be compensated to the tune of 300,000 pounds for agreeing to part company with the talented teenager.
Aged 16, Nunn leaves The Railwaymen without a single first-team appearance to his name, though he was promoted to their 18 squad this season.
Chelsea Youth, who first reported the news of the player's imminent move to Stamford Bridge, added that he played for the U16s at the weekend, scoring in a 9-3 win, and will join a growing group of first-year scholars next season.
Nigerian duo Jordan Aina and Faustino Anjorin are eligible to sign scholarship deals with Chelsea ahead of the start of the 2018-2019 campaign.
The two youngsters have represented England's youth teams.
