Super Eagles Stars Swap The Pitch For The Gym, Start Indoor Training 1100 Hours
Published: March 20, 2018Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that the Super Eagles will begin training for their pre-World Cup friendly against Poland on Tuesday, March 20.
As the full complement of players invited for the showdown against Poland and Serbia are not yet in camp, Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has instructed the players in camp to use the indoor facilities at Radisson Blu Hotel, Wroclaw for gym work.
The gym work is scheduled to begin at 1100 hours before their first training session on grass at the old Śląsk Wrocław stadium, Oporowska street this afternoon.
At least fourteen players are in line to exercise indoors : Francis Uzoho, Elderson Echiejile, Stephen Eze, Joel Obi, Shehu Abdullahi, John Ogu, Moses Simon, Kenneth Omeruo, Troost Ekong, Alex Iwobi, Ola Aina, Tyronne Ebuehi, Brian Idowu and Leon Balogun.
With Enyimba's Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Chippa United's Daniel Akpeyi yet to show up in camp, Deportivo de La Coruña youngster Francis Uzoho has a head start over the the two-African based goalkeepers, and everything is pointing to the fact that he will get some minutes against Poland.
Nigeria's next opponents, Poland, will have three training sessions before the friendly at the Municipal Stadium on Friday, March 23.
