Nigeria Target Odubajo Makes Comeback For Hull City After 20 Months Out
Published: March 16, 2018Nigeria Football Federation target Moses Odubajo came through his comeback game unscathed and might figure for the first-team of Hull City before the end of the 2017-2018 season.
The right-back had not played competitively for the Tigers across all levels since July 2016 before Thursday evening's Professional Development League clash against Burnley, where he was named in the starting line-up.
The 24-year-old was substituted at half-time against the Clarets U23s but the change was already planned even before the game started.
Odubajo dislocated his kneecap in a friendly game against Grimsby Town, he returned to full training on March 5, 2018 after a long rehabilitation process.
The former England U20 international was one of the heroes as Hull City were promoted to the Premier League via the playoffs at the end of the 2015-2016 season , playing 45 games in total, but missed the whole of the following season due to his unfortunate injury.
Predominantly a right-back, Odubajo can also be handy at left-back, right midfield, left midfield and central defense.
In December 2014, ex-Nigeria U23 manager Samson Siasia invited him to a get-together in Abuja but he didn't turn up due to club commitments.
