Official: Promising Nigerian Striker Ends Association With Stevenage
Published: March 08, 2018Promising Nigerian striker Dipo Akinyemi has ended his association with EFL League Two club Stevenage after joining Dulwich Hamlet on a permanent transfer.
The Boro have not been paid a transfer fee by the Isthmian League Premier Division side but have inserted a sell-on clause into the deal taking the attacker to Hamlet.
Akinyemi started his career at Potters Bar Town before switching to Stevenage at the end of 2014.
The 20-year-old had brief loan spells at Aldershot Town, St Neots Town, St Albans City, Billericay Town and Bishop's Stortford.
He played for his new employer on loan on two separate occasions while on the books of Stevenage.
In his first appearance since completing his permanent transfer, Dipo Akinyemi notched a brace as Dulwich came from behind to defeat Billericay Town on Tuesday.
Akinyemi made 16 first-team appearances for Stevenage, scoring one goal before he left the club.
