Big Boost To Nigeria As First-Choice Right Back Target Returns To Full Training At Hull

Nigeria Football Federation target Moses Odubajo 24, has resumed full training at Hull City, the EFL Championship outfit officially informed on Monday.

The ex-England U20 international has not played for the Tigers since he got injured in a pre-season friendly against Grimsby Town in July 2016.

''It’s great that Moses is back on the training ground and back in with the first team group,'' said the Tigers manager Nigel Adkins.

''He’s been out injured for more than 18 months and he’s been through a heck of a lot, but we have great medical and sports science staff here and a lot of people have helped him along the way.

''Moses has got a smile on his face and it’s fantastic for him and fantastic for us because he’s an infectious character.

''There’s no timeframe in terms of when he will be back playing, but this morning was a big step forward for him to take part in the first part of the training session.''

Odubajo had been approached by the Nigeria Football Federation supremo Amaju Pinnick to represent the Super Eagles as the national team coaches looked to solve the problematic right back spot.

As a result of his lengthy spell on the sidelines, the Nigerian Federation made moves for  foreign-born trio Ola Aina, Tyronne Ebuehi and Brian Idowu.
