Croatia Gives Hint Of World Cup Roster: Liverpool, Barca, Real Madrid Stars Named In Latest Squad
Published: March 05, 2018Croatia national team coach Zlatko Dalić has announced his provisional roster for the upcoming friendlies against Peru and Mexico in the United States.
Twenty-nine players have been named to the roster but the squad will be reduced to 23 on March 15/16, and the manager revealed that 20 players plus 3 goalkeepers will make the final list.
Liverpool star Dejan Lovren, Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitić, Juventus striker Mario Mandžukić and Inter Milan winger Ivan Perišić are some of the eye-catching names on the list.
Captain of the Croatian national team, Luka Modrić, who has been charged with giving false testimony at the corruption trial of Dinamo Zagreb's former chief Zdravko Mamic, has also been called up.
Croatia will face Peru on March 23 in Miami before wrapping up their schedule this month with a friendly against Mexico at AT & T Stadium in Dallas.
Nigeria's first opponents in Group D at the 2018 World Cup have also lined up friendlies against Brazil in Liverpool on June 3 and Senegal in Osijek on June 8.
