NFF Player Of The Year Moses : Nigerians Appreciate What I'm Doing For Super Eagles
Published: March 05, 2018Chelsea wing-back Victor Moses has reiterated that he was delighted to be named Nigeria Football Federation Player of the Year, adding that Nigerians are happy with his performance whenever he's playing for the Super Eagles.
Nigerian Federation 2nd Vice President Shehu Dikko traveled to London to present Moses with the Player of the Year gong last week, as he was unavoidably absent at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island two weeks ago due to club commitments.
''I am simply over the moon with this award. It means that the country and the people really appreciate the little we are doing for the National Team,'' Victor Moses told thenff.com.
''I am looking forward to doing much more for Nigeria at the FIFA World Cup finals in Russia,” said Moses, who was named winner at the Awards ceremony on 19th February.''
Moses was Nigeria's top scorer in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers with three goals which he scored in home matches against Algeria and Cameroon.
The former England U17 star had been nominated for the award along with Leicester City's Wilfred Ndidi and Lobi Stars striker Anthony Okpotu.
