Two Important Chelsea Players Ruled Out Of League Cup Clash Vs Arsenal
Published: January 23, 2018Two key Chelsea players will not take to the Emirates Stadium turf in Wednesday's League Cup semifinal second leg clash against Arsenal.
Manager Antonio Conte confirmed at a press conference today that Spain internationals Alvaro Morata and Cesc Fabregas will not be named in the 18-man squad, having failed to recover from injuries.
''Morata and Fabregas are out, they are not available for Arsenal game. Then I have to check a couple of situations,'' Conte told reporters at Cobham.
''Morata has a problem in his back.
''I have to check a couple of situations before making the best decision.''
Morata and Fabregas both started the first leg tie at Stamford Bridge which ended goalless.
