Promising Arsenal Winger Nathan Tella Eager To Play For Nigeria Ahead Of England
Published: January 11, 2017Promising Arsenal winger Nathan Tella will not reject a call-up to the Nigerian national teams, but has not ruled out the possibility of representing England in future if they are interested in his services.
Born in the United Kingdom 17 years ago to a Nigerian father, Tella can play multiple midfield positions and has been tipped to break into the first team of Arsenal in the near future should he remain at the Emirates.
The dribbling sensation began his career at St Nicolas Junior School, Stevenage before he was spotted by an Arsenal scout while representing Bedwell Rangers.
“Nathan Tella is of Nigerian descent, he is willing to play for the Nigerian youth teams if invited. He will welcome a call-up with Nigeria, ” Team Nigeria UK boss David Doherty told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Nathan Tella has cited Theo Walcott, Raheem Sterling and Lucas Moura as the players he models his game after.
In the current season, the talented winger has recorded eight appearances in the U18 Premier League.
