Oshoala Flies To London For Arsenal Pre-Season, Complains She Is Not Well Paid
Published: January 11, 2017Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Nigeria international Asisat Oshoala flew to London on Tuesday, January 10 amid speculations linking her with an exit from Arsenal Ladies in the winter transfer market.
The Gunners have since resumed pre-season training ahead of the start of the 2017 Spring Series, but it is believed that the African Women Footballer of the Year was given an extended break because of her participation at the 2016 African Women Cup of Nations.
Given her high standards, Oshoala struggled in her first season with Arsenal, scoring only 2 goals from 13 appearances in the league, less than her total for Liverpool Ladies in her debut season in England.
The 22-year-old has complained that she is not well paid at the London club, and is considering a move to the Chinese Women’s Super League.
To adequately provide for herself and her family, she was seeking endorsement deals from several blue chip companies while in Nigeria.
