Official : Ex-Chelsea Youth-Teamer Sarki Released By AEL Limassol
Published: December 30, 2016Through a statement published on their official website, Cypriot First Division club AEL Limassol have informed the public that they have ended their collaboration with former Nigeria U20 international Emmanuel Sarki.
The Haiti international joined AEL Limassol from Polish club Wisla Kraków in August and went on to play five games as a substitute in the top-flight, logging 79 minutes, before he was released.
Sarki could still remain in the Island Nation in the second half of the 2016-2017 season as he is currently undergoing trials with one of the top teams in the country with a view to being offered a contract.
The Kaduna native began his career with the youth team of Chelsea in 2006, but spent the next four years at Westerlo after failing to break into the first team.
The 29-year-old numbers Ashdod and Waasland-Beveren among his former clubs.
