Fulham Young Star Tayo Edun Goes The Distance As England U18s Lose To South Korea
Published: June 06, 2016 England Under-18s lost 3-0 to South Korea at the Suwon World Cup Stadium on Sunday in an international friendly.
Fulham youngster with Nigerian roots, Tayo Edun, added to his international caps at youth level, playing 90 minutes of the tie against the Asians, having entered into the fray as a substitute against the same opponents last Friday.
Lee Seung-Woo netted the opener in the fourth minute and the scoreboard was reading 1-0 when both teams went into the interval.
Lee Sang Min gave the South Koreans a two-goal lead eleven minutes out of intermission before Cho Young Wook completed the scoring in the 65th minute.
The 18-year-old Edun would have featured for the Young Lions at the 2015 Fifa U17 World Cup but missed the tournament in Chile after picking up an injury.
