Exclusive: Tottenham Hotspur Linked Fullback Kingsley Madu Bound For Belgium
Published: June 02, 2016Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Super Eagles fullback Kingsley Madu might be on his way to the Belgian First Division A in the summer transfer window.
The Golden Boot Soccer Academy product joined AS TrenÄín in January 2014, and has established himself as one of the finest defenders in the Slovakian topflight, so much so that he was named to the Team of the Season in 2016.
Madu is said to be on the radar of clubs in England, France and Holland but it is all but confirmed that he is joining a Belgian team in the coming weeks, and to add to that, he is spoilt for choice as his representatives are in advanced talks with two of the leading clubs in the country.
Tottenham Hotspur and PSV Eindhoven had sent their scouts to monitor the wing-back at close quarters during Tuesday’s international friendly between Nigeria and Luxembourg but they left the stadium disappointed as he wasn’t given a run-out by coach Salisu Yusuf.
Last season, the 20-year-old Kingsley Madu appeared 30 times in the Slovak Super Liga and scored once against DAC.
