San Jose Earthquakes Star Amarikwa Commits International Future To Nigeria Ahead Of USA
Published: May 28, 2016Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that San Jose Earthquakes striker Quincy Amarikwa has committed his international future to Nigeria ahead of the United States of America, where he was born.
The Bakersfield, California native, who is called Obinna by the Nigerian community in USA, has not earned any caps for the Americans at international level and is eager to join the Super Eagles setup.
Aged 28, Amarikwa started his career in Major League Soccer with San Jose Earthquakes in 2009 and remained with the club until 2010 when he was acquired by Colorado Rapids .
The UC Davis Aggies product has also represented Toronto FC and Chicago Fire.
The likes of Azuka Jean Harbor, Oguchi Onyewu and Maurice Edu were eligible to represent Nigeria before choosing the United States.
