Man City Congratulate Iheanacho For Scoring His Maiden Goal For Super Eagles
Published: May 27, 2016English Premier League powerhouse Manchester City have congratulated their teenage striker Kelechi Iheanacho for opening his account for the Super Eagles in their 1-0 win over Mali in an international friendly on Friday evening.
The former Golden Eaglets star, who started on the bench, netted the game-winner in the 77th minute of the contest between the West African teams.
“Congratulations @67Kelechi on your winning goal! ð��� #mcfc,” City tweeted via their official Twitter page.
The 19-year-old Iheanacho stepped out onto the Stade Robert Diochon (Le Petit-Quevilly) pitch in the 74th minute, replacing Arsenal starlet Alex Iwobi.
He earned his third international cap against the Malians.
