Victor Anichebe Confirms He Will Be Leaving West Brom
Published: May 16, 2016Victor Anichebe has announced his departure from West Brom , three years after joining the Baggies from another English Premier League team Everton.
The Nigeria international joined West Brom in September 2013 and it appears the club will not be renewing his contract this summer, based on the pronouncement of the striker on Monday in a social media post.
Anichebe tweeted : “Thank you to all the @WBAFCofficial fans for the support during my time at the club! I wish you all the best for the future. God bless 🙏 .”
The 28-year-old has seen his first team opportunities limited in recent seasons, managing only 14 starts in total in the last two seasons, whereas he was named in Everton’s starting XI 19 times in his final year at Goodison Park.
Anichebe has been in the international wilderness for more than four years.
