Published: May 14, 2016Maidstone United have earned promotion to the National League after beating Ebbsfleet United in a penalty shoot-out , with regulation and extra time ending 2-2.
The Stones didn’t get off to a good start as Danny Kedwell gave Ebbsfleet United the lead in the 20th minute when he converted a spot kick, before Bobby-Joe Taylor leveled matters in the 47th minute.
On 81 minutes, Dumebi Dumaka came off the bench and the move by the coach paid off when the Nigerian forward equalized for Maidstone United with almost the last kick of the game in extra time.
