Flying Eagles Jet Out To Burundi Next Wednesday Aboard Ethiopian Airlines; Calabar To Host Return Leg
Published: May 11, 2016Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that the Flying Eagles will tackle the Burundi U20s at the UJ Esuene Stadium in Calabar in the return leg of their Africa U20 Cup of Nations qualifier.
The Nigeria Football Federation initially wanted the game to be staged at the National Stadium in Abuja but later had a change of mind, and has contacted the Cross Rivers State Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Asu Okan, to start preparations to receive the team on their return from Burundi.
The Nigeria U20s delegation will fly to Burundi on Wednesday, May 18th aboard an Ethiopian Airlines flight, three days before the contest against Burundi.
Upon their return to the country, the team are likely to spend two or three days in Abuja before heading to Calabar.
The Flying Eagles are the defending champions of the Africa U20 Cup of Nations after beating Senegal in the 2015 final.
