Nigerian Talents Await Liverpool Decision After Trials; Ex-Porto Starlet Njoku, Suleiman Catch The Eye
Published: May 10, 2016Nigerian talents Jacob Njoku, Chidera Ejike, Suleiman Muhammad and Charles Ezeh ended their trials with English Premier League side Liverpool on Sunday, May 8, and will discover in the coming weeks if they will be offered contracts.
According to Jos-based intermediary Babawo Mohammed, ex-Porto youth-teamer Jacob Njoku and Gee Lec Football Academy winger Suleiman Muhammad caught his eye during a test game but a decision on whether or not the players will be offered deals has not been made.
“They finished the trials this Sunday, Liverpool will have to go through the report before deciding whether to sign them,”said Babawo Mohammed to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“I watched one of their trial games, they all did well, most especially Suleiman and Njoku. They will return to Nigeria next week.”
If eventually they are offered contracts, the youngsters will join the likes of Sheyi Ojo, Jordon Ibe, Tiago Ilori and Ovie Ejaria, who all have Nigerian descent, on the books of the Reds.
