Fanendo Adi Scoops Etihad Airways MLS Player Of The Month Award
Published: May 05, 2016Nigerian striker Fanendo Adi has won the Etihad Airways MLS Player of the Month award for April after claiming 33.56 percent of the votes.
The Portland Timbers Designated Player saw off competition from Giovani Dos Santos (LA Galaxy),Sebastian Giovinco (Toronto FC), Jermaine Jones (Colorado Rapids) and Chris Wondolowski (San Jose Earthquakes).
During the period under review, Adi notched three goals and one assist in five matches in the American topflight.
The 25-year-old is the joint leading scorer in Major League Soccer with seven goals to his name from nine matches.
He initially joined Portland Timbers on loan from FC Copenhagen in 2014 before the move was made permanent.
