Obi Mikel Vows To See Out Remainder Of Contract At Chelsea
Published: May 05, 2016Super Eagles skipper John Obi Mikel will remain with Chelsea until at least the end of the 2016-2017 season, according to one of his advisers.
The defensive midfielder is understood to be on the radar of clubs in UAE, Turkey, Spain and China but has vowed to see out the remainder of his contract with the Londoners.
“Mikel has said he is still with Chelsea until the end of his contract next year. Certainly, he is not leaving this summer,” Mikel’s adviser told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“At this moment, it is uncertain whether he will renew his contract or leave as a free agent next year.”
The 29-year-old Mikel arrived Chelsea from Lyn Oslo in 2006 for a combined transfer fee in the region of 20 million euros.
