Guinea,Mali Replace Nigeria,South Africa At 2016 Toulon Tournament
Published: May 05, 2016Brazil-bound Nigeria and South Africa will not be participating at the 2016 Toulon Tournament, organizers have confirmed.
Francophone duo Guinea and Mali will fly Africa’s flag in France after the Nigeria U23s pulled out of the tourney citing lack of funds while South Africa failed to confirm their participation.
Of the ten countries initially invited for the Toulon Tournament, only six participants in the shape of Japan,Mexico, Czech Republic,England,France and Portugal honoured the invitation.
Group B foes at the 2016 Olympic Games Colombia and Asian reps Australia did not confirm their participation and their spots were handed to Paraguay and Bulgaria.
