Ex-Liverpool Striker Anoruo Parts Company With Stockport County
Published: May 04, 2016With a statement published on their official website, National League North side Stockport County have announced that they have parted company with Nigerian-born striker Obi Anoruo.
The 24-year-old Anoruo was one of the fourteen players released by the Hatters on Wednesday when they announced their retained list for the 2016-2017 season.
He began his career with the Academy Team of Liverpool and did not make an appearance for the first team prior to his departure to Wrexham.
On his curriculum vitae, Anoruo has also represented Newtown, Vauxhall Motors,Barrow, Hinckley United, Stalybridge Celtic,Colwyn Bay and Gloucester City.
Meanwhile, Stockport County will have talks with former Nigeria international Kayode Odejayi in the coming weeks regarding a new deal.
