Catch up on the performances of players of Nigerian players in the English Premier League on Saturday.

In the early kickoff, Arsenal starlet Alex Iwobi netted his maiden goal in the top-flight in his first start as Arsenal beat homers Everton at  Goodison Park.

He put Arsenal 2-0 up in the 42nd minute and was substituted four minutes from time. Toffees midfielder Ross Barkley started and played 73 minutes of the game.

Super Eagles striker Victor Anichebe was an unused substitute in West Brom’s 1-0 loss at the The Hawthorns to Norwich City. The number ten has 8 appearances to his name in the Premier League this term.

Over to Vicarage Road, Odion Ighalo worked a 90-minute shift in attack for Watford in their 2-1 loss to Stoke City. Scotland international Ikechi Anya notched a helper in the 86th minute after coming off the bench 14 minutes from time.

John Obi Mikel played the entirety of Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with West Ham at Stamford Bridge.

Italy national-teamer Angelo Ogbonna was involved for 90 minutes for the Hammers, while ex-Super Eagle Emmanuel Emenike came off the bench in the 75th minute. Chelsea loanee Victor Moses was not eligible to face his parent club.

Former England international Gabriel Agbonlahor starts on the bench for basement team Aston Villa in their tie with Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.
