Kelechi Iheanacho Still On Cloud Nine After Winning League Cup With Man City
Published: February 29, 2016Kelechi Iheanacho is still basking in the euphoria of winning his first title as a professional and has taken to social media to express his happiness at Manchester City’s triumph in the League Cup at the expense of Liverpool.
The showpiece game on Sunday was held at Wembley and the Nigeria national-teamer has thanked the City fans who made the 163-mile journey from Manchester to London.
“Proud to be among the champions yesterday, thanks to all the fans that came to support. Comeoncity, ” Iheanacho said on Twitter on Monday afternoon.
Kelechi Iheanacho was named amongst the substitutes for the clash against Liverpool but did not get game time for the third straight game in the competition.
The 19-year-old missed the third round tie against Sunderland due to injury but was in action against Crystal Palace and Hull City in the fourth round and quarterfinals respectively.
