Angelo Ogbonna was delighted after netting the match-winner as West Ham beat Liverpool 2-1 to advance to the fifth round of the FA Cup on Tuesday night.

In the final minute of extra time and with the game heading to penalties, the Italian-Nigerian directed a close-range header into the net to send the Hammers fans into wild jubilation.

“It was my first goal for West Ham and in front of our supporters, so I am really happy for my teammates, for everybody. I really enjoyed it, ” Ogbonna said to West Ham’s official website.

“I’m still excited, and I want to enjoy this moment. It’s unbelievable.  It was a great ball from Dimitri, and Andy, Collins, we all could score [with service like that].

“We had a really good mentality, we defended together, attacked together, switched the ball and were really good on Tuesday.”
