William Troost-Ekong And Anderson Esiti Set To Debut For Nigeria As Keshi Names Squad For Afcon Qualifier Vs Chad
Published: May 24, 2015Nigeria manager Stephen Keshi has announced the foreign - based professionals summoned to Kaduna to prosecute the African Cup of Nations qualifier against Chad next month.
Three new faces have been invited to the national team for the first time - William Troost-Ekong (FC Dordrecht), Kingsley Madu (AS Trencin) and Anderson Esiti (Estoril FC, Portugal).
There is no place in the squad for John Obi Mikel , with Keshi going public to claim that he tried contacting the Chelsea star without success before naming the roster.
Midfielder Rabiu Ibrahim has been rewarded for an outstanding season with AS Trencin and he has been recalled to the national team after more than two years in the international wilderness.
Aside Vincent Enyeama , 5 defenders, 6 midfielders and 3 attackers were included in the squad list announced on Sunday night.
